Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including labels, bills of lading, and manifests.
- Verify accuracy of orders against shipping documents before dispatch.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery scheduling.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and, when necessary, customers.
- Ensure packages are properly sealed, labeled, and meet carrier requirements.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files for easy retrieval.
- Communicate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve any order or shipping issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and shipping regulations.
- Operate shipping software and equipment (e.g., scanners, printers).
- Uphold safety standards by using appropriate PPE and maintaining a safe work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, logistics coordinator, or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers, including shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Understanding of shipping and logistics principles.
- Familiarity with common carrier services and their requirements.
- Ability to perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs) as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and correct PPE usage.
