Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare shipping labels, documentation, and manifests.
- Verify order details against items being shipped to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as printers and scanners.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency with computers, including shipping software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Understanding of shipping logistics and procedures.
- Familiarity with carrier requirements and documentation.
- Capability for lifting up to 30 pounds when necessary.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to use required PPE.
