We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products throughout our facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating various types of material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. Your contributions are vital to maintaining the flow of our logistics operations. We are dedicated to providing a secure workplace, emphasizing the importance of proper training, adherence to safety regulations, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational issues and report any malfunctions.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in designated storage areas.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage, adhering to Lifting guidelines.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Participate in routine warehouse maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including frequent Lifting of heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
