Our Nashville, Tennessee facility seeks an organized Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments and ensure accurate inventory management. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting efficient logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming goods, ensuring they meet our quality and quantity standards. A strong focus on Safety and attention to detail are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify received goods against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or defects in shipments.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for appropriate placement within the warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks and other handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in the receiving area.
- Strictly follow all company Safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits as directed.
- Must be able to perform occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs for inventory processing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or a related logistics field is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding shipping documents and order information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and operating warehouse equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with WMS and inventory software is an advantage.
- Dedication to maintaining a high level of Safety in all operations.
