Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is looking for an organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse activities. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, inventory control, and team leadership. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and shipping. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accuracy of stock records.
- Overseeing the receiving and dispatching of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Implementing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinating with transportation and logistics teams to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to minimize disruptions.
- Training new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects; experience with manual handling and forklift operation.
- Proficiency in inventory management techniques.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including adherence to lifting best practices.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
