Join our thriving logistics hub in San Jose, California, as a Shipping Clerk! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our distribution center, focusing on the accurate and timely preparation of outgoing shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, accurately labeling packages, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time, maintaining our reputation for excellent service. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will interact daily with warehouse associates, management, and shipping carriers, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. We provide all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety. Responsibilities include:
- Processing and preparing outbound shipments for all carriers.
- Verifying order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Selecting appropriate packaging and ensuring items are securely packed.
- Applying shipping labels accurately and efficiently.
- Scheduling pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintaining organized shipping records and documentation.
- Communicating with warehouse team members to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
