Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and retrieve merchandise from high-level racking systems.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through scanning and system updates.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of work areas, including loading docks and aisles.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and consistently use required PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as picking, packing, or shipping.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, operational issues, or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity in logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation, safety standards, and material handling.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
- Thorough understanding of workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work shifts, including potential overtime and weekends.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
