We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, playing a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying incoming products against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording received items into our system. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You'll be working closely with suppliers and internal logistics staff to resolve any discrepancies. Adherence to all Safety protocols and the correct use of PPE are paramount to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to Safety and the proper use of PPE.
