Are you a skilled tradesperson with a passion for maintaining operational efficiency? We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician in our San Antonio, Texas facility. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our warehouse equipment and infrastructure are in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime. A keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong understanding of warehouse systems are essential. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding high standards of Safety in all aspects of your work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse infrastructure to identify potential hazards and necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and repair histories.
- Operate and maintain various tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency repair requests as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the Logistics department.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and equipment.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting and maneuvering heavier components, up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Experience with material handling systems and automation is advantageous.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
