We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Tampa, Florida location. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting our overall logistics efficiency. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels. Key duties include managing inventory data within our Warehouse Management System (WMS), reporting on inventory accuracy, and collaborating with warehouse teams to identify and resolve issues. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting and movement of goods. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to strictly adhere to safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cycle counts and participate in regular physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain precise inventory records in the WMS and related databases.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and report findings.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce loss.
- Coordinate with operations, shipping, and receiving departments on inventory matters.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend process improvements in logistics.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
- Proficiency with WMS software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
