Are you a skilled and safety-conscious operator looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods and support our overall logistics operations. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy, assist with order picking and staging, and help keep the warehouse organized and hazard-free. Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to all operational procedures and Safety guidelines is expected. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize materials according to established procedures.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support overall warehouse and logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and other physical tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
