Job Summary:
Our Distribution Center in Des Moines, Iowa is looking for dedicated Distribution Center Associates to join our team. This multifaceted role is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse and plays a key part in our logistics network. You will be involved in various tasks, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and packing orders, managing inventory, and preparing items for shipment. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, energetic, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a willingness to follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices, are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Sort and organize stock within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained/certified).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including lifting guidelines.
  • Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals within the logistics framework.
  • Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
