Our Orlando, Florida facility is looking for a motivated and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for cycle counting, investigating inventory discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Your efforts will directly impact operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory management principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This is a key position within our logistics network, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies identified through cycle counts or system reports.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Manage and maintain the accuracy of inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to ensure proper inventory handling and storage.
- Train other team members on inventory control procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Report on inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Must be capable of moderate lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety best practices.
