*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. We have 6 different office locations that we travel to which include Bryan, Archbold, Napoleon, Paulding, Hicksville and Defiance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings un outpatient offices . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing high-quality care to our patients.
*Duties*
As a Certified Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
* Performing intake assessments, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories
* Administering medications as directed by physicians
* Managing electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information
* Utilizing medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare team
* Supporting outpatient and inpatient care, including experience in emergency medicine and trauma centers
* Conducting basic life support (BLS) as needed
* Assisting with procedures and maintaining equipment cleanliness
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in various specialties such as geriatrics, internal medicine, and medical-surgical units
*Qualifications*
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
* Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care
* Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation
* Experience in clinic settings or hospitals,
* Proficiency in handling administrative tasks related to patient service and intake processes
* Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as urgent care or emergency medicine settings
* Previous experience in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) or operating room (OR) settings is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.38 - $25.74 per hour
