Experienced in food and beverage operations and knowledge of food, wine & alcohol and service standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Partner closely with the Food and Beverage Director to drive all aspects of food & beverage operations, including banquet, ice cream shop, Boardwalk Bar and coffee operations for the hotel

· Cultivate a guest-first culture and build a high-performing team from day one

· Champion excellence in service, brand standards, and operational quality

· Play an active role with the hotel's chef to deliver outstanding food quality while maintaining profitability and cost

· Analyze and act on P&L performance, budgets, cost control, and inventory management

· Plan and manage all F&B operations (Banquets, Boardwalk Bar, Ice Cream Shop, and coffee) to ensure the department achieves the highest level of client and guest satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals

· Understand the mission, vision, and the game plan of the Villages, in coordination with AHC Hospitality

· Ensure that all F&B employees meet the grooming and appearance guidelines set forth by the hotel

· Coordination, planning and execution of social media events in the Food and Beverage space

· Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on the whole F&B budgets and its components (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality customer service

· Respond to client/guest trend, needs, issues, comments and opportunities to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects

· Create and sustain a work environment that embraces The Villages culture in coordination with AHC Hospitality (the management company) ensure fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success

· Tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis. Monitor property cleanliness, quality of product and service throughout hotel

· Knowledge of Toast POS Systems is helpful

· Active participation in budgeting/forecasting and profit maximization. Duties include writing and reviewing reports (profit and loss statements/critiques, yield management, capital planning, payroll, etc.); understanding of our purchasing system and inventory controls/process within all departments and purchasing team

· Work on solid relationships with all vendors and always ensure we are getting best products and pricing, and service from each of our vendors

· Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and brand goals

· Maintain strong knowledge of the local market food & beverage offerings, including competitor strategies, and community impact opportunities

· Work to determine areas of concern and develop strategies to improve performance

· Manage costs within the food and beverage division including food costs, beverage costs, supplies, and labor expenses, within budgeted parameters

· Analyze any service issues and identify trends. Facilitate the development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure implementation to continually improve guest satisfaction results

· Ensure property is a safe and secure facility for guests and associates

REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to schedule, train, discipline and direct associates

· Prior experience with P&L accountability

· Must possess clear and definable communication standards including written, speech, and verbal communication

· Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

· Maintain high employee morale, promote staff enthusiasm and teamwork, minimize turnover, assist employees with concerns and support staff in their job functions

· Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor even during periods of crisis or uncertainty

· Excellent people management skills, including resolving conflict, coaching and developing, promoting teamwork, and performance management

· Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the operation to include frequent second shifts, nights, weekends and holidays to observe and assist with successful operations

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· 4+ years of overall hospitality/food & beverage industry experience required

· Minimum 3+ years related hospitality/food & beverage management experience required

· 4-year college degree, preferred

· Banquet/catering food & beverage service

· Hotel experience, preferred

· ServeSafe certification and TIPS trained, preferred

· CPR/AED certified, preferred

· Previous knowledge of POS Systems (including TOAST) is highly desirable

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
