A Maintenance Person's duties include but not limited to carpentry, electrical, painting, heating/cooling ventilation, and grounds maintenance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.

  • 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Pay: $22.00/hour

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklift equipment, conveyors, and production stations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to quickly repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
  • Maintain safety conditions and standards in facility.
  • Organize storage areas and tool rooms to keep areas safe and fully stocked.
  • Circulate throughout facility weekly to identify issues in areas.
  • Perform repairs to plumbing systems from leaky faucets, to replacing urinals.
  • Work with staff, and contractors on major repair and renovation projects.
  • Use and operate various types of tools such as power saws, sanders, grinders, forklifts and basic hand tools.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on air circulation, plumbing and electrical building systems.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings to maintain operation safety.
  • Use problem-solving skills to alleviate issues efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing and security.
  • Inspect building for needed repair and maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency facility maintenance requests regarding malfunctioning equipment. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause, complete repair for resolution.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with building management and/or maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drywall, boilers, as well as grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to operate Forklift.
  • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial electrical experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues / turn projects timely and efficiently

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
