We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the physical plant, grounds, and overall safety of a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, functional, and compliant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Director is responsible for all building maintenance operations, preventative maintenance programs, life safety compliance, and coordination of repairs. This individual works closely with facility leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for the facility and grounds

  • Maintain compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, CMS, and state regulations

  • Perform and track preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment

  • Coordinate repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address deficiencies

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted services

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for surveys and audits

  • Support emergency preparedness and disaster readiness plans

Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance or plant operations experience in SNF/LTC, healthcare, or similar regulated environment preferred

  • Knowledge of life safety systems, building codes, and preventative maintenance programs

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • On-call availability as needed for emergencies

  • Basic computer skills for work order tracking and documentation
