Quarterdeck Resort at Gull Lake is seeking to adding another Housekeeping Supervisor to our incredible Housekeeping team. A Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, cabins, and public areas are clean, comfortable, and welcoming. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who leads by example and thrives in a high-volume, casual resort environment with frequent turnovers and seasonal peaks.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily room and cabin cleanings
- Assign rooms and tasks based on occupancy, check-ins, and check-outs
- Inspect guest rooms, cabins, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and resort standards are met
- Respond promptly to guest requests, special needs, and maintenance issues
Team Leadership
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and guest service expectations
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support
- Help maintain positive morale in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Assist with scheduling and coverage, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
Quality & Safety
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly
Inventory & Coordination
- Monitor inventory of linens, towels, and cleaning supplies
- Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure smooth guest turnover
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing tasks as needed
Required
- Previous housekeeping experience (hotel, resort, or similar environment)
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Preferred
- Resort or seasonal hospitality experience
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Positive, hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm during peak times
- Guest-focused mindset with pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming resort
