Retail Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive shopping environment and ensuring that our store is well-stocked and visually appealing.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in locating products.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items and promotions.
• Maintain merchandise displays and ensure that the store is well-organized and stocked.
• Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate transactions and retail math calculations.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques and stocking procedures.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
