Summary
Wright & Wheeler Dentistry is currently seeking a full-time Expanded Function Dental Assistant to support our doctors and hygienists in unsurpassed patient care In addition, this motivated team player is responsible for preparing operatories for treatment, sterilizing rooms post-treatment, and performing duties associated with their expanded function abilities. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, as he/she maintains communication between office doctors, front office staff and patients. Additionally, this individual should possess strong problem-solving skills and maintain a "solutions-oriented" approach. We are very excited to be adding another great member to our team
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up rooms for treatment
- Assist in all types of dental procedures including but not limited to the following: oral surgery, fillings, crowns, implants, endodontics and denture-related procedures
- Place fillings and temporary crowns
- Take digital impressions as needed
- Take all necessary X-rays
- Clean and sterilize rooms and instruments used during treatment
- Regular communication with our front office staff regarding patient treatment
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines, at all times
- Adherence to all office procedures relating to Coronavirus and adaptation of enhanced PPE
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Licensed in Indiana to take dental radiographs
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to multitask quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to organization and detail
- Experience with Dentrix software is a plus
- Expanded Functions training is preferred* (not a requirement)
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required
