We are looking for a qualified and professional preschool teacher to join our Bethlehem family We are located in Encinitas, CA and we are a school that thrives on community and working together as a team. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, STEAM, physical education, and hands on learning through play to support early childhood development.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among preschoolers.
- Manage classroom activities and behavior to maintain a positive learning atmosphere through effective behavior management strategies.
- Conduct assessments using Creative Curriculum Assessment and observation to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support early intervention efforts when needed.
- Incorporate special education techniques to support children with diverse learning needs and promote inclusive classroom practices.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate childcare best practices, toddler care techniques, and physical activities to promote overall well-being.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and lesson planning.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, and NAEYC
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to implement teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is required. BA/AA preferred. One or more year classroom experience.
- CPR/First Aide certified. Background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
