Speech Language Pathologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate speech language pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have special skills and training in supporting pediatric feeding needs and treating orofacial myofunctional disorders. Opportunity for growth as we are a small pediatric practice and clinicians start with a few clients per week and can reach full time with 20-25 clients per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify feeding, speech, fluency, and/or language disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Deliver speech therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to support holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Valid VA licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Prior work within pediatric settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families/caregivers.
• Ability to drive to client homes and schools to provide services.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in speech-language pathology.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $ $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
