Business Analyst – Pharmaceutical Marketing & Digital Content
Location:

Overview
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company in the Bay Area, looking for a Business Analyst to support marketing analytics and digital content operations. The ideal candidate blends strong BI skills with hands‑on experience in marketing technology and regulated content workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Marketing, Digital, and Commercial teams to understand business objectives and translate them into clear analytical and reporting requirements.
- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik Sense to track campaign performance, engagement, and content effectiveness.
- Analyze data from multiple sources (CRM, marketing automation, digital channels, Veeva, web analytics, etc.) to provide insights and recommendations that improve targeting, messaging, and ROI.
- Document and refine end‑to‑end content lifecycle processes, from brief/intake through approval, distribution, and performance measurement.
- Support governance and compliance needs for promotional content in a regulated pharma environment.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data pipelines, data quality checks, and enhancements to data models and dashboards.
- Train and support business stakeholders on dashboards, metrics definitions, and self‑service analytics.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting
Marketing and/or Digital Content Management
(pharma, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries is a plus). - 5+ years' experience with
BI / analytics tools
(e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik Sense), data warehousing concepts, and strong
SQL
for data querying and analysis. - Solid understanding of marketing concepts, including funnels, conversion metrics, channel performance (email, web, social), and A/B testing.
- Experience mapping and improving content lifecycle processes (intake, review/approval, MLR, publishing, archival).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear stories and actionable recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills and comfort working with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Medical/Legal/Regulatory, IT, Compliance).
Highly Desirable
- Hands‑on experience with
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

Adobe Workfront
,
Adobe Express
, and/or
Veeva PromoMats
or similar pharma content platforms. - Background working with marketing automation, campaign management, or digital asset management systems.
- Prior experience in the
pharmaceutical or biotech industry
supporting commercial or medical affairs teams.
