Job Opportunity: Weekend Staff and Weekday Staff

DSP Position 1: Weekend Staff (Friday-Sunday, All Shifts) We are currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Weekend Staff. The successful candidates will be available to work all shifts from Friday to Sunday.

Work Shifts are:

  • 7:30am to 2:30/3:30pm
  • 2:30/3:30pm to 10:00pm
  • 11:00 AM- 8:00 PM
  • 10:00pm to 7:30am

DSP Position 2: Weekday/Weekend Overnight Staff We are also looking to hire dedicated staff for weekday shifts with specific availability requirements. The successful candidates must be available to:

  • Work shifts from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Be available to work every other weekend.

DSP Position 3: Weekday/Weekend 1:1 Staff We are also looking to hire dedicated staff to work with one individual client with specific availability requirements. The successful candidates must be available to:

  • Work week day shifts from 3:00 PM -8:00 PM
  • Be available to work every other weekend 11:00 AM- 8:00 PM

DSP Qualifications:

  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle tasks efficiently and responsibly.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

DSP Requirements:

  • Availability for specified shifts and days.

Direct Care Worker responsibilities include:

  • Provide Direct care services to clients in residential settings.
  • Maintaining written records related to the behavior of the client under his/her supervision.
  • Administering medicine and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients and reporting changes.
  • Assessing the progress of the client in their assigned programs and communicating information to co-workers in other shifts.
  • Assist with outings, leisure activities, activities in daily living.
  • Be capable of intervening with clients who are agitated or out of control.
  • Be proficient in monitoring the environment for safety concerns.

Additional DSP responsibilities may include:

  • Running errands.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks around the client's home as needed.

As for education and experience requirements, you need to have:

  • Graduation from high school or GED.

For knowledge skills and abilities, you need to have:

  • Skilled ability at CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention ).
  • First Aid.
  • CPR for Adult and Child.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Medication Administration.
  • Ability to report orally and in writing knowledge of emotional needs of individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Transport, assist, and support for individuals as needed

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other staff. This includes written/typing communication as well as verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client's information.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with all staff members. This includes relationship building skills with respect to both positive behavior and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints. This includes but is not limited to weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Basic Computer Operations: Understanding how to operate a laptop, including turning it on and off, logging in, and navigating the operating system (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Internet and Web Browsing: Competence in using web browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) to search for information, navigate websites, and utilize online resources. This includes understanding how to use search engines, manage bookmarks, and recognize secure websites.

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements: Residential level three group home experience (preferred)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Please have an up to date TB test

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
