Plans, manages and directs engineering activities aligned with company objectives and goals. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Supervises daily activities of team. Sets priorities to accomplish task or process completion. Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Typically does not perform same work as subordinates.
• Manage the coordination and overall integration of activities in plant engineering projects
• Supervises assigned plant engineering and planning staff, and is directly responsible for selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and schedules.
• Monitor and maintain project efficiency with emphasis on accuracy and budgeted time.
• Provides guidance and keeps employees informed of policies and operational changes.
• Drives member engagement and growth through effective leadership, coaching, developing and rewarding staff.
• Responsible for technical review of plans, studies and projects.
• Leads in a manner aligned with the organization's values and beliefs
• Creates an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, actively seeks out opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PE, and 7 years directly related experience; Or
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an accredited engineering degree program and 8 years directly related experience.
• May work non-standard hours.
• Work is in an office, field or plant environment.
• May require travel.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
• Member will not be required to drive in order to perform their job duties.
• The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including but not limited to, electric utilities, power generation or distribution;
• Time management skills.
• Ability to solve problems, perform analysis, and make good decisions.
• Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with all levels throughout and outside of the organization.
• Technical expertise in engineering, planning methods and economic methods.
• Demonstrates self-awareness and interpersonal savvy
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and delegate assignments as required by workload.
• Leadership skills to build trust and a positive work environment
• Required Certifications/Licensures:(Valid Driver's License)
