Job Summary: The Assistant Manager balances strong leadership with delivering "WOW" guest service while supporting restaurant operations and financial performance. This role partners with the General Manager to develop people, uphold brand standards, and ensure the restaurant is fresh, friendly, fast, and profitable.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Create positive energy in the restaurant and set the team up for success
- Coach, motivate, and develop Shift Leaders and crew members
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent using company tools and recognition programs
- Communicate effectively through team huddles and ongoing feedback
- Serve as a role model for delivering fresh, friendly, and fast service
- Coach WOW service behaviors and celebrate guest feedback
- Observe operations from the guest perspective and address improvement opportunities
- Support local marketing efforts, community involvement, and brand promotions
- Help execute company-wide product launches and local initiatives
- Assist in executing Krystal's operating systems and standards
- Support sales forecasting, scheduling, and labor planning
- Monitor daily business results, cash handling, HACCP logs, and inventory levels
- Assist with food and equipment inventory control and ordering
- Analyze sales, labor, and cost results to drive operational improvements
- Implement and follow up on operational and financial action plan
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, security, and fire regulations
- Assist with identifying equipment issues and coordinating corrective actions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and scheduling.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to follow company procedures and uphold operational standards.
- Dependable, motivated, and capable of taking initiative.
Education and Experience:
An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience
- Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.
- On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.
Working environment and physical requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Must be able to stand during the entire work shift.
- Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
- Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
Travel: Must be able to travel up to10%
