About the Role:

As a Financial Analyst – Fuel & Airport Fees, you will play a critical role in managing two of the largest and most controllable direct operating cost categories in aviation. This role is responsible for fuel and airport fee planning, forecasting, invoice and contract compliance, dispute resolution, and new station financial analysis. You will partner closely with Accounting/AP, Commercial, Real Estate, and Operations to support accurate financial reporting and data-driven strategic decisions.

A Day in the Life:

Your day may include supporting month-end close activities, validating fuel and airport fee invoices against contract terms, and analyzing variances to ensure accurate cost reporting.

You'll forecast fuel and airport fee spend by location using volume, price, seasonality, and network assumptions, and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations.

You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners—including fuel providers, FBOs, and airports—to resolve billing discrepancies and support dispute resolution.

You'll also contribute to new station business cases and prepare executive-ready profitability analyses to support growth decisions and post-launch reviews.

  • Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 0-2 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, audit, pricing, contract analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Preferred Experience:

  • Airline or aviation industry experience (preferred, not required).
  • Experience with tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Alteryx, or ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct).
  • Familiarity with fuel procurement concepts (RFPs, escalation terms, index-linked pricing) and/or airport fee structures.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort handling high-volume transactions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, structured financial models).
  • Ability to interpret contract terms and translate them into validation logic and financial models.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Pay & Perks:

    Compensation is $65,000 - $75,000 /annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
