Data Analyst

Rivermark Group is seeking a Remote Data Analyst to support applied analytics and decision-focused analysis across operational and healthcare-related projects. This role emphasizes translating complex datasets into clear insights that inform real-world decisions, not just building dashboards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with imperfect data, framing analytical questions, and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $75,000–$95,000, depending on experience, location, and role scope.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured datasets to answer operational, financial, and strategic questions
• Develop clear, reproducible analyses using SQL, Python, or R
• Create concise summaries and visualizations that support decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define metrics, assumptions, and analytical scope
• Validate data quality and document methodologies and limitations
• Support ad hoc analyses and longer-term analytical projectsAnalyze structured datasets to answer operational, financial, and strategic questions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, data science, computer science, public health, or related discipline), or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, analytics, or related role
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical language (Python or R)
• Experience working with real-world datasets that require cleaning, validation, and documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings clearly

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, operations, or finance data
• Familiarity with statistical methods or causal analysis
• Experience building dashboards or analytical reports
• Consulting or cross-functional collaboration experience
