Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, the HR Director leads all North America HR functions. This role ensures JMM attracts, develops, and retains top talent while fostering a strong company culture. The HR Director oversees the full employee lifecycle, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational development, and manages a team member responsible for HR operations to ensure smooth execution of people initiatives.

Human Resources Leadership (North America Scope)

  • Own and manage the full employee lifecycle for North America: onboarding, orientation, performance management, development, engagement, internal communications, and offboarding.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and drive a high-performance culture.

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including culture events, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and department heads on HR-related matters, providing guidance on employee relations, performance issues, and workforce planning.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll coordination, benefits administration, policy implementation, and HR systems management.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Executive Leadership on organizational development, headcount planning, and succession strategies.

  • Support conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner.

  • Travel as needed to support store openings, new hire onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.

Talent & Recruitment (U.S. Scope)

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and support recruitment for North America roles.

  • Oversee the candidate experience, ensuring professional and positive interactions with JMM throughout the hiring process.

  • Advise leadership on best practices in talent acquisition and retention strategies.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a dedicated HR team member to ensure effective execution of HR programs and initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing HR function that supports JMM's mission and values.
