Activity Director | Life Enrichment Director - Heritage Muskego, Muskego, WI

Heritage Muskego is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Activity Director/Life Enrichment Director to plan, organize, and implement all aspects of its resident life enrichment and volunteer programs.  The Activity Director/Life Enrichment Director will work closely with the life enrichment department and leadership team, creating programs that encourage resident independence, enhance self-esteem and nurture the social, recreational, spiritual, religious, and physical aspects of our resident's life. 

Established in 2018, Heritage Muskego, located in Muskego, WI, is a 108 unit assisted living community that consists of independent living, assisted living, enhanced living, and memory care.  At Heritage Senior Living our mission, values, and vision guide us in creating the culture of our organization and providing high-quality senior homes across Wisconsin.  Our ideal candidate will provide leadership and coordination of Heritage Muskego's life enrichment department.  The Activity Director/Life Enrichment Director position is a full-time position with primary hours worked Monday – Friday; however, does require weekend manager on duty and an on-call rotation.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities, Functions and Qualifications (including, but not limited to):

  • Develop an activity/life enrichment program consistent with Heritage Senior Living standards
  • Involve family, residents, staff, and community volunteers to participate as a regular part of the activity/life enrichment program; network with local businesses and organizations to develop relationships and maintain a volunteer base
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise the activity/life enrichment team members, including the screening and supervision of volunteers
  • Responsible for creating monthly activity/life enrichment calendars; ensure equipment and supplies are available; manage department budgets
  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • One year of experience working with seniors or in a social or recreational position; prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong customer service, organization and planning skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
