About the Role
We are seeking experienced, mission-driven educators to serve as
Part-Time PD contractors, supporting onsite professional development (PD) delivery for schools and districts, as well as Family Engagement Nights nationwide
. This role is ideal for education professionals who can flex their schedules and are passionate about improving literacy outcomes.
Contractors will provide high-quality training, facilitate workshops, and represent our organization during district visits. Travel will be scheduled based on program needs, with advance notice provided whenever possible.
Who We're Looking For
Ideal candidates include:
- Reading interventionists
- Literacy coaches
- Assistant principals or principals
- Lead teachers
- Retired educators
- Other instructional leaders with strong literacy expertise and facilitation experience
- Bi-Lingual educators
You should be comfortable presenting to educators, engaging families, and supporting implementation of early literacy practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver onsite professional development sessions for teachers, administrators, and district leaders
- Facilitate Family Engagement Nights focused on the Science of Reading and early reading skills
- Support schools and districts in implementing program materials with fidelity
- Communicate effectively with school partners and internal teams
- Maintain professionalism and represent the organization's mission with excellence
- Travel to assigned school or district locations as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in K–5 education, preferably in literacy instruction
- Strong presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage groups of educators and lead engaging professional development sessions
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple states (travel expenses covered)
- Flexibility to accept assignments based on program needs
- Comfort using basic technology (e.g., slide decks, virtual communication tools)
