Job Summary

Duties

• Review detailed construction plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate cost proposals
• Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate prices and secure favorable terms
• Prepare detailed bid packages that include pricing, scope of work, and contractual considerations
• Monitor project budgets during execution to ensure cost control and identify potential overruns early
• Assist in contract review processes, ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations and project requirements

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles
• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly preferred
• Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management processes
• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Experience negotiating with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to optimize project costs
• Familiarity with construction safety standards, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies
• Construction site experience or previous roles in construction management are advantageous
