Our Opportunity: Re-work Supervisor
Status: Full Time Day Shift
Hours: hour shift - 6a-6p
Schedule: rotating shifts (work 15 days a month)
Summary
To supervise all areas within the internal Re-pack and Re-work department. The Re-pack & Re-work Supervisor also maintains the responsibility for all aspects of the packaging process including process improvement and quality initiates, in an effort to achieve optimum production efficiency and productivity goals, while maintaining the quality and integrity of food safety, handling, and sanitation.
Supervise internal re-pack, re-work, and processing activities.
Lead and manage 1–50 hourly employees to ensure products are packaged efficiently, on schedule, and at minimal cost.
Train employees on job responsibilities, safety standards, and performance goals.
Hold individuals and teams accountable for productivity, quality, and results.
Work directly with contract labor providers to ensure staffing levels meet production demands.
Ensure adequate supplies and materials are available to meet or exceed productivity standards.
Inspect production equipment regularly and coordinate maintenance to prevent downtime.
Set up equipment and production lines for new projects according to specifications.
Perform program changes, testing of shrink wraps, and troubleshooting as needed.
Maintain production equipment, including wrapper preventative maintenance.
Complete rework for products placed on hold due to production errors.
Perform rework for internal product or production requirements.
Complete re-pack operations for products produced by external co-packers.
Ensure all rework and re-pack activities meet quality and customer specifications.
Promote and maintain high standards for safety, quality, sanitation, and housekeeping.
Communicate effectively with supervisors across departments and shifts to ensure smooth operations within the Re-Pack Department.
Complete production reports for customers.
Prepare activity and performance reports for management, including:
Production tracking
Product reconstruction details
Lot number and pallet number tracking
Labor timesheets and logs
Review inventory regularly and perform cycle counts after production.
Maintain accurate data entry and system updates using:
SAP
FSEDC scanning systems
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
What You Need to Bring
High School Diploma is required; Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred; 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
