Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking friendly and motivated Cashiers/Sales Associates to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your sales and customer service skills while contributing to the success of our store.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections and inquiries
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, including overseeing daily store operations
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and store environment
• Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction
• Retail math skills for handling transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
• Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments preferred
• Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance the shopping experience
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
