Job Summary
Pride Solutions seeks a dedicated individual to join our Molding Department as a Mold Operator on 2nd shift. The selected candidate will start at Mold Operator I, with opportunities to advance to Mold Operator II and III based on skills, abilities, and experience. As a Mold Operator, you will operate compression molding equipment, producing high-quality plastic parts for various industries, including snowmobile and agricultural components.
Work Shifts Available
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday - Thursday
Wage
- Starting at $20.00/hour (includes $2.00 shift premium) as a Mold Operator I, with the opportunity to advance to Mold Operator II and earn $22.00/hour (includes $2.00 shift premium) after 60 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate multiple compression molding machines to meet production, quality, on-time delivery, and safety standards
- Finish products by trimming excess material according to specifications
- Verify that products meet quality standards and are free from defects using measurement tools and visual inspections
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Monitor inventory levels, anticipate supply needs, place orders, and confirm the receipt of supplies to maintain production flow
- Report equipment issues to the supervisor to minimize downtime
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regularly cleaning workstations and equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or team lead to support efficient production operations
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to use various hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills), a rubber extruder, manual and power pallet jacks to perform production tasks
- Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
- Willingness to cross-train in other departments
- Basic computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Adaptable
- Dependable; ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Previous experience operating a forklift is a plus
Physical Requirements
Mold Operator I:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to move/lift product while bending, rotating, or raising arms above shoulders
- Frequent periods of standing and/or walking
Mold Operator II:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to move/lift product while bending, rotating, or raising arms above shoulders
- Frequent periods of standing and/or walking
Mold Operator III:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to move/lift product while bending, rotating, or raising arms above shoulders
- Frequent periods of standing and/or walking
