Our Ecommerce Product Management team plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and performance of product data across multiple websites and marketplaces.

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Ecommerce Product Data Specialist who thrives in data-heavy environments and brings structure, accuracy, and insight to ecommerce operations.

Important: This role requires advanced, hands-on Excel expertise . Basic or intermediate Excel skills are not sufficient.

About the Role

Reporting to the Ecommerce Lead, you will support day-to-day product catalog management, large-scale data operations, and cross-functional ecommerce workflows. You will collaborate closely with Data Analytics, Content, SEO, and Digital Marketing teams to ensure product data accuracy and scalability.

This is a high-level, execution-focused role requiring precision, initiative, and confidence working with large datasets.

What "Advanced Excel" Means in This Role

You must be able to independently and confidently :

• Work with large datasets (thousands of rows) without errors
  
• Build and maintain complex formulas, including:
  
• XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
  
• Nested IF statements
  
• TEXT, DATE, and logical functions
  
• Create, audit, and manipulate Pivot Tables
  
• Clean, normalize, and reconcile messy data from multiple sources
  
• Use data validation, conditional formatting, and structured tables
  
• Prepare and validate bulk product upload templates
  
• Quickly identify duplicates, discrepancies, and data integrity issues
  
• Use macros or basic automation (or clearly understand when to use them)
  
• Take a raw data file and deliver a clean, accurate, ready-to-upload file with minimal guidance
  

If your Excel experience is limited to basic formulas or simple filtering, this role will not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update product data across multiple ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce and internal tools)
  
• Manage large datasets and perform complex Excel-based data transformations
  
• Conduct regular audits to ensure product data accuracy, consistency, and SEO alignment
  
• Support bulk uploads of new products, SKUs, and pricing updates
  
• Collaborate with the Data Analyst to identify gaps and recommend data-backed improvements
  
• Coordinate with Content and Design teams to ensure product images and documentation meet standards
  
• Work with the Ecommerce Coordinator on spec sheet creation and timely product launches
  
• Resolve product-related tickets accurately and efficiently
  
• Support projects such as site migrations, catalog restructuring, and product expansion
  
• Document and improve internal processes to support scalability
  

About You

You are analytical, highly organized, and enjoy improving systems. You take pride in data accuracy, work proactively, and communicate clearly. You are comfortable managing complexity and motivated by continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, product data management, or a related analytical role
  
• Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, basic automation)
  
• Experience with BigCommerce or other ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc.)
  
• Strong understanding of product data structures and SKU management
  
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify inconsistencies
  
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  
• Experience with project management tools (Trello, Asana)
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment
  
• Degree or diploma in a related field preferred
