Finish Carpenter

In an entirely indoor facility and under the direction and leadership of the Supervisor/Lead hand, the Finish Carpenter assumes responsibility for all interior general carpentry duties required on modular unit construction projects. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow scope of work unless direct otherwise by the Foreman/Lead hand

• Installation of exterior & interior doors
• Custom millwork/cabinetry
• Installation of cabinets & countertops
• Installation of baseboards, casings, and trim
• Shelving
• Drywall
• Ensure all safety codes are followed and proper safety attire is always worn.
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous Carpenter experience
• Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
• General construction safety knowledge
• Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
• A team player with strong people skills
• Standard First Aid an asset

Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
• Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
