We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong office management skills, experience with dental and medical office operations, and proficiency with electronic health records systems. This role involves managing front desk activities, coordinating patient interactions, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations. A background in dental or medical office environments, along with familiarity with software such as Epic and Dentrix, is highly preferred. The Administrator will play a vital role in maintaining efficient workflows and delivering excellent patient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle appointment scheduling, inquiries, and follow-ups
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical terminology documentation and billing information
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth daily operations of the dental or medical office
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Manage inventory of office supplies and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Support billing processes and insurance claims submission as needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as Dental administrator is required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental or healthcare environments
- Office experience including front desk management, administrative support, and multi-line phone systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external vendors
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws and confidentiality standards
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is preferred
