We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
HR Coordinator Contractor
to support our global HR team. This contract role provides a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across multiple HR functions while contributing to meaningful projects. You will work closely with HR leaders to deliver administrative support, maintain accurate records, coordinate processes, and help drive HR programs forward.
What You'll Do
As an
HR Coordinator
, your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and track onboarding/offboarding activities, including new hire communications, I-9 verification, and background checks
- Prepare and manage employment-related documents (e.g., employment letters, offer letters, employment verifications, and employee action forms)
- Support the processing and maintenance of contractor and employee records in our HRIS
- Maintain and update internal HR trackers (e.g., headcount, employee leaves, training records)
- Help ensure accuracy in HR reporting and data audits
- Support payroll and benefits administration tasks as needed, including auditing data
- Liaise with internal departments (Payroll, IT, Finance) for employee lifecycle tasks
- Support coordination of employee engagement initiatives
- Respond to internal HR-related inquiries and escalate as appropriate
- Support recruiting with sourcing and screening as needed
- Assist with compliance tasks, documentation tracking, and other HR administrative functions
- Perform other related duties as assigned, based on evolving business needs
Who You Are
- Based in Ontario or Vancouver, Canada and legally able to work as an independent contractor in Canada (40hrs/week)
- Completed or currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with HRIS systems is an asset
- A self-starter who can manage tasks independently with minimal oversight
- Able to prioritize and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, remote work environment
