EPG Sales Engineer
Ziegler CAT has an opening for an EPG Sales Engineer. Responsibilities: Seeks out prospective customers and provides proposals for Electric Power Generation equipment. Responds to current customer requests for Electric Power Generation equipment. Analyzes engineering specifications to quote equipment that will meet the project requirements. Analyzes Electric Power Generation sales opportunities in the territory and systematically targets business opportunities. Documents the project and component specifications required by individual customers. Documents sales quotations for customers using standard Ziegler formatting. Supports other Sales Engineers as well as customers by providing technical information, literature, schematics and wiring diagrams. Learns about Cat and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns. Quotes and closes sales transactions within assigned authority parameters, completing all required sales documentation. Coordinates the activities of support divisions within Ziegler and Caterpillar to manage product field service and product quality issues. Documents quotation, win, loss and data along with other business activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required 3+ years of technical sales experience Personal Attributes: Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement Orientation Strong mechanical aptitude Clean driving record Working knowledge of internal combustion engine installations and drive trains Analytical skills Electric Power, Electrician, Generator, or Reciprocating Engine experience desired Travel: Up to 25% travel Minimum Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing. Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times. The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is $111,300.00 to $166,900.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education.
