Math Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math Teacher to inspire and educate students across various grade levels. This role involves delivering engaging lessons in mathematics, fostering a love for the subject, and supporting students' academic growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and discrete math, while also demonstrating excellent communication skills and classroom management abilities. As a Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a curiosity for scientific research and mathematical exploration.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate instructional design principles and learning technology tools.
• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive activities to enhance understanding of complex topics such as differential equations, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and laboratory experiments including dissection.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and tutoring sessions; provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to academic success.
• Mentor students by offering academic advising, guidance on research projects, and support for higher education preparation.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in professional development opportunities related to special education, Montessori methods, or education administration.
• Incorporate research laboratory experiences into lessons when applicable to deepen scientific understanding and practical skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, lesson plans, and instructional materials; proofread assessments for clarity and accuracy.
• Engage with library services and educational resources to enrich lesson content and promote independent learning among students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or related STEM fields; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proven experience working with students across diverse age groups in classroom settings or private schools.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, calculus (including differential equations), discrete math, trigonometry, and related scientific subjects like molecular biology or microbiology.
• Demonstrated expertise in classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Proficiency with teaching tools such as interactive whiteboards, online learning platforms, and other educational technology devices.
• Experience designing curriculum that integrates instructional design principles and research-based teaching methods.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to students of varying skill levels; excellent proofreading skills for assessments and instructional materials.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to support student achievement.
• Background in scientific research or laboratory experience is highly desirable; experience working with special education or implementing Montessori approaches is a plus.
