Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Promote in social media such as videos, or posts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or similar settings. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are required. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in sales, merchandising, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns
• Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-presented
• Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support team members with supervising responsibilities when needed, including overseeing daily store operations
• Follow phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers over the phone or via other channels
• Promote store promotions and assist in product demos to boost sales performance

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and the ability to assist diverse customers effectively
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Ability to upsell products and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is desirable but not mandatory
• Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities
• Previous work in grocery stores or similar retail environments is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Work Location: In person
