Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team in Auburn. This role involves providing high-quality instruction across various classrooms, supporting student learning, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, experience working with children, and the flexibility to step into different teaching settings as needed. Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by regular teachers or develop instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a respectful, engaging learning environment
• Support students' social and emotional development through positive behavior management techniques
• Assist with classroom routines, including attendance, transitions, and instructional support
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student engagement

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents
• Knowledge of lesson planning, and classroom management strategies
• Experience with early childhood education, literacy education, math instruction, or special education is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels
• Relevant certifications or coursework in childhood development or education are advantageous
• Flexibility to work on short notice and availability during school hours in Auburn

Pay rate ranges from $100 to $110 per day based on certification.
