Site Superintendent
The Site Superintendent is responsible for on-site leadership and day-to-day management of multiple commercial solar construction projects across Illinois. The Site Superintendent will work in tandem with the Project Manager(s) to provide consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely analysis of projects. The Site Superintendent must be an experienced construction leader with strong knowledge of commercial solar installations and the ability to coordinate several active job sites simultaneously. This role requires excellent attendance, willingness to travel, and at times, working in inclement weather.
Note: This position is based in Illinois.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple commercial solar project sites and field crews concurrently.
- Maintain and meet construction deadlines that comply with customer requirements.
- Help the Pre-Construction team develop an initial construction schedule, bill of materials, and site-specific manuals.
- Coordinate subcontractors, field technicians, equipment operators, and laborers.
- Conduct daily site walk-throughs to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans.
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize delays.
- Track KPI's to ensure we stay aligned with our construction schedules and budgets.
- Ensure all site personnel follow proper PPE and safe work practices, especially regarding electrical and elevated work.
- Conduct inspections throughout project phases and document progress with reports and photos.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors, and customers.
- Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process improvement strategies to support business growth.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
Experience and/or training:
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work, required
- Positive and professional attitude with strong communication and customer service skills, required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, required
- Great organizational skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently, required
- Ability to perform tasks with little to no supervision, required
- Site Leadership on a PV Install over 3 MW, preferred
- QC/QA Work on a PV Install over 3 MW, preferred
- Bilingual: English/Spanish, preferred
Licenses/Certificates:
- Valid driver's license with good driving record, proof of insurance, required
- NABCEP PVA Certified, preferred
- OSHA 30, required
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician, preferred
Technology/Equipment:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting design, electrical, and civil engineering drawings, required
- Experience with Heavy Equipment operation, preferred
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD or Bluebeam, preferred
