Integral member of the creative team and sole provider of original well-written content that is well written with proper tone, feeling, sentence structure, emotion and is grammatically correct. Write original content for: advertisements, collateral, direct mail, out-of-home, videos, and digital assets such as landing pages, websites and interactive/static banner ads and understand the nuances of writing effectively for each medium. Create strategic, platform specific copy for social media channels including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms, ensuring content is culturally relevant, creatively strong and aligned to how audiences engage on each platform. Use creative vision to create original concepts and develop a variety of tactical ideas around a chosen theme. Write persuasively and be able to effectively and strategically defend the creative vision. Develop a thorough understanding of the client's business to understand each product, service offering and target audience. Independently audit client's competitors in order to differentiate our messaging from the fray. Remain deeply connected to social culture, trends and platform behaviours so that concepts and copy are always relevant, modern and resonate in social first environments. Constantly strive to improve the creative product. Provide strategically sound direction and writing solutions that have high impact and increase the return on creative investment. Review client changes and respond with alternatives and suggestions to improve client revisions. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as fine attention to detail. Effectively work under tight deadlines and multitask to manage time on projects; must be willing to spend whatever time it takes to meet deadlines. Qualifications
B.A. in Writing, English or similar degree or equivalent experience 5+ years' experience in copywriting Ability to initiate and present concepts. Proven experience writing for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram and other short form and long form social channels. Strong understanding of how copy, culture, trends and platform mechanics come together to drive engagement. A modern, motivated and self directed creative who brings their own point of view while aligning to brand and client strategy. Successfully articulated and champion new ideas in front of Manager-level audiences. Knowledge of quality-assurance practices for production of communication deliverables. Motivated, organized, and flexible. Need to work well in a small team environment. Self-starter; positive-minded professional who is able to work unsupervised.
