Seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate in historic Boston, Massachusetts! This role is vital for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and stocking inventory, as well as preparing outgoing shipments and ensuring timely departures. A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic are essential. This position is key to maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. You'll be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and effectively, supporting our wider supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular inventory counts.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep and organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain procedures.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
