Our Atlanta, Georgia logistics hub is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operational team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, a strong understanding of inventory control, and the ability to motivate and guide staff. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This leadership role is crucial to our company's success in delivering exceptional logistics services.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Monitor workflow and productivity, implementing improvements as needed.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Maintain strong communication with other departments and management.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment focused on safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs when necessary.
- Commitment to promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
