We are looking for diligent Material Handlers to join our bustling warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. Your work directly supports our logistics operations, ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and prepared for shipment accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stage incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, following all safety guidelines.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory control, including stocktaking and location verification.
- Ensure all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Practice safe Lifting techniques and follow all guidelines for manual handling.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material status and any issues encountered.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions of the warehouse.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse machinery and material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory systems is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks.
- Capability of frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE and awareness of Lifting hazards.
