Join our vibrant team as an Order Picker in sunny San Diego, California! We are searching for reliable and efficient individuals to accurately gather products for customer orders. As an Order Picker, you are the first step in ensuring our customers receive the correct items, making your role essential to our logistics success. You'll work in a dynamic warehouse setting, contributing to a seamless supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick specified items from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for the next stage of the fulfillment process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Understand and follow all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stock put-away as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently to meet performance targets.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques and be mindful of ergonomic principles.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capability of performing frequent Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
