We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, guaranteeing that our warehouse functions smoothly and effectively. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and conduct safety inspections on various pieces of equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to safety protocols are essential. This position requires significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending. Adherence to all Safety guidelines and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots is mandatory. The successful candidate will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and reliability. Responsibilities include documenting all maintenance and repair activities, ordering necessary parts, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
